How we use booking and contact information.
My Kefalonia Car uses personal data to provide car-rental enquiries, reservations and customer service. Privacy questions can be sent to info@mykefaloniacar.com.
Depending on your interaction, we may collect your name, email, phone number, country, booking dates and locations, selected vehicle group, extras, flight number, booking reference, messages and payment-status information.
We use data to provide quotes and availability, create and administer bookings, take the required deposit, prevent overbooking or fraud, respond to requests, meet legal/accounting obligations and protect our legitimate business interests.
Online deposit payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered into the payment provider’s secure checkout and are not stored in the My Kefalonia Car booking database. We retain booking and payment-status references needed to reconcile the reservation.
The website, serverless functions and booking database are hosted through Netlify services. We may also use professional providers where necessary for payment processing, email, accounting, IT support or legal compliance. Providers receive only the data needed for their role.
Booking records are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the rental, customer service, accounting, tax, dispute and legal requirements. Data that is no longer required should be deleted or anonymised.
We use access controls and secure connections intended to protect booking information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, request portability and complain to a data-protection authority. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
Some technology providers may process data outside Greece or the European Economic Area under their own lawful transfer safeguards. Their privacy documentation describes those safeguards.
This policy may be updated when the booking service, legal requirements or service providers change. The version published on this page is the current website version.
